An introduction, loosely.
If you’re new here, welcome! I’m so glad you found your way to Un-tied.
Things are intentionally less polished around here. The name is pretty literal: think of the unraveling of a bow by pulling on the ribbon. Thoughts not fully wrapped up. Real life not perfectly tied with a bow.
I’ve been writing online for a long time, creating my blog Bows & Sequins back in 2010. Un-tied feels different, though. It’s where I come to think out loud and ramble about curiosities, even if that rabbit hole is as frivolous as a hair dryer.
Here’s how things usually show up around here:
Monday Mix — a recurring snapshot of what’s been on my mind lately: reflections, questions, links worth clicking, and little lightbulb moments as the week begins.
Loose Ends — an end-of-week check-in: Rose & Thorn from the past week, open tabs I didn’t want to lose, and small moments worth filing away before starting fresh.
Hyperfixated — occasional deep dives into things I’m genuinely obsessed with.
Personal writing — longer, more intimate posts, typically reserved for paid subscribers.
Most posts are free to read. Paid subscribers get access to the more personal pieces — the ones I hesitate a bit before publishing. 🫣
